It is a true diner. The atmosphere took us back 50 years to when we were dating. The food was outstanding, as was the service. My husband ordered the Daily Special for Wednesday. Salmon croquet with choice of one or two, "brown beans" , fried potatoes. Corn bread muffins and butter. I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken. I apologize for already digging in before I took a photo.

Keep up the good work chef love what you stand for and your food options. Search for the holidays they don't do the ribeye steaks on Saturdays because they're doing the turkey dinners. Must be pretty good because the two times that we've been in the last 2 weeks everybody's ordering it. But we tried the sirloin steak five out of five That is one of the best cuts that I've ever tasted It is so good that I think I'll get it over the sirloin. I tried a burger tonight that was very good it was very large. But I'll definitely do the steak. And if you've never had the Cajun candy corn on a cob I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I went down there on a Saturday night. It was genuinely a Ripley experience. We really love the hospitality and atmosphere and also the food was absolutely great. We are happy to give a local restaurant a good five star. I would encourage you to get the big fish catch dinner. Bluegill catfish and some shrimp Homemade tartar sauce. And imagine that the fish were never frozen. They were deep fried fresh.

New location, same great food! This new location has the same great quality food. Home cooked and southern flavored. They got a ways to go before they reach Mayslick quality on a few aspects. Yes there was a fairly long wait but who can complain when the food is this good? It's definitely worth the wait. Took a while to get the food too but they was completely packed and working hard so I'm not really gonna complain there either nor dock their points. They have a great staff all with a positive attitude. The main thing I find lacking is the atmosphere because unfortunately it just doesn't have the same cozy feel as the previous one but they are trying. It's still worth the trip as long as you're not in a rush. They have excellent prices and a good bit of food. My husband got the Saturday special ribeye and it was absolutely delicious! The pork chops are also amazing fried and tastes just like home cooking. Homemade mashed potatoes and candy yams gives me back home feels. It does get slightly smoky but it can't be helped. However the air does smell amazing from all the cooking. I definitely will keep recommending this place. At the rate they're going they should definitely open up an even bigger location even though they just did that! 5 stars always!

This is a newer business in Ripley however the owner G.G. was well established at his previous location. They have daily specials, and in my opinion, the best fish dinners in the area. The portions are big enough that it's not unusual to take some home after you've eaten your fill! The burgers are huge and they offer a big ribeye on Saturdays. The side dishes are good home cooking, greens, baked beans, scalloped potatoes and more.. and very good onion rings and fries. I will say to have patience during peak times it can be crowded and you may have to wait.

I have been 6 times since they have opened. Every time it has been good. The last time I finally tried the Ribeye which was great and the pulled brisket nachos were. My wife raves about the chicken livers and is her new go to.
